Technology and computing against illegality and crime in the world of business and labour — “inter-connected” justice

On Friday 9 March 2018, in the auditorium of the Chamber of Commerce of Lecco, a conference was held organised by the CIRGIS foundation under the coordination of Prof. Avv. Giuseppe Aglialoro, its Founder and International Secretary.

The conference sought to answer the challenges that globalisation and the technological revolution under way pose to the organisation of justice, focusing attention on some key questions:

  • Physical, geographic and state barriers tend to lose significance ever more rapidly, and it becomes easier — very rapidly, physically and virtually — to move flows of people, goods and above all money. How must the organisation of justice equip itself to keep pace with the times?
  • How do the strategies of organised crime change, including at the level of penetration into the business fabric? And what answers must justice give?
  • What are the professions of the future in the judicial field? What kind of skills are required of those who work at the various levels of the organisation of justice? How much “value”, in economic terms, does the administration of justice produce? Does the administration of justice also work as a redistributive institution? What is the “cost” of legality? Why is it certainly worth paying?

The conference was held under the patronage of important bodies, among them the Chamber of Deputies, the Bank of Italy, universities and chambers of commerce.
