Institutional information
Privacy notice
This notice concerns browsing this institutional website and contacting LinkedData.Center, including sending a job or collaboration application. It is structured around Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the applicable Italian data protection rules. Separate services, employment and corporate relationships require information specific to those activities.
Who is responsible for your data?
The controller is LinkedData.Center s.r.l., with its registered office at Via Leonardo da Vinci 10, 23900 Lecco (LC), Italy; Italian tax code and VAT number 03587150131. For privacy enquiries and requests to exercise your rights, write to admin@linkeddata.center or to the postal address above.
Data, purposes and legal bases
Browsing the website
Delivering a web page requires the hosting infrastructure to process your IP address and request information. Technical data can also include the requested address, date and time, response status, browser information and referring page, depending on the hosting configuration. The website is configured for hosting on Netlify.
The purposes are delivering the pages, maintaining availability and protecting the website against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a functioning, secure institutional website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical request data are necessary to deliver the pages; without them, the requested connection cannot take place.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message and any names, contact details or attachments you provide. Please send only information relevant to your enquiry. Providing this information is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond without sufficient details.
The purpose is to handle your enquiry and any necessary follow-up. For requests to take steps before entering into a contract with you, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For general enquiries, including those sent on behalf of an organisation, the basis is our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)). Where processing is necessary to meet a legal obligation, including handling data protection requests, the basis is Article 6(1)(c).
Job and collaboration applications
If you send an application, we process the contact details, professional experience and other information you provide to assess it and communicate with you about the proposed role. Processing necessary to take pre-contractual steps at your request is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Providing these data is voluntary, but without relevant information we cannot assess your application. Please do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for this purpose.
Cookies and similar technologies
The website code does not set cookies or use local storage for visitor tracking. It includes no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, profiling tools or contact forms. Fonts are served with the website rather than requested from an external font service.
Checks of the live website’s main pages on 20 October 2026 also found no cookies or browser storage entries. Hosting-level analytics and request logs are not observable through these checks. The absence of tracking scripts does not mean that no personal data are processed. See the cookie policy for further information.
Under the applicable ePrivacy rules and Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, storing or accessing information on your device requires prior consent unless an exemption applies, such as strict necessity for a service you request. Any future non-exempt tracking must be described here and remain disabled until you consent; withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it.
Who can receive the data?
Relevant recipients may include authorised personnel handling enquiries, hosting and infrastructure providers, email providers, and professional advisers or public authorities where necessary for legal obligations or legal claims. Providers acting on our behalf must be governed by processing agreements under Article 28 GDPR.
Netlify provides the configured website hosting infrastructure. Its privacy statement describes processing for which Netlify acts as controller and distinguishes it from processing on customers’ behalf, which is covered by its data processing agreement. It does not replace this notice. The company’s existing privacy policy also provides for outsourced archiving of company email. The list of external data processors is available at the controller’s registered office; you can request it by writing to admin@linkeddata.center. The applicable email and archiving arrangements remain to be confirmed for this notice.
Personal data supplied through these contacts are not made public.
International transfers
Netlify operates internationally, so using its infrastructure may involve processing outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We cannot infer the locations or safeguards applicable to this website from the location of LinkedData.Center alone.
International transfers require an applicable GDPR mechanism, such as a relevant European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses with any necessary supplementary measures. The specific mechanisms for hosting and email are not yet documented in this notice. Contact us at the address above for information about transfers and to request a copy of the applicable safeguards.
How long are data kept?
Personal data must not be retained longer than necessary for the purpose for which they are processed. Applications for employment, collaboration or consultancy are kept for a maximum of 24 months from receipt or update, as specified in the company’s existing privacy policy.
Hosting log periods, email archive and backup retention, and deletion arrangements have not yet been established from the available policies. The longer periods specified there for employees, collaborators, shareholders and directors do not establish a retention period for ordinary website enquiries or browsing data.
Retention of correspondence must take account of handling and closing the enquiry, any resulting contractual relationship, applicable statutory record-keeping duties and the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. These criteria do not authorise indefinite retention.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in Articles 15–22 GDPR, you may:
- Request access to your personal data and a copy of them.
- Have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed.
- Request erasure or restriction of processing where the legal conditions apply.
- Object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. Processing must stop unless compelling legitimate grounds override your interests, rights and freedoms, or it is necessary for legal claims.
- Receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and request their transmission to another controller where processing is automated and based on consent or a contract.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on it, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
Send requests to admin@linkeddata.center. We must respond without undue delay and normally within one month of receipt. This period may be extended by two further months where necessary because of the complexity or number of requests; we must notify you within the first month and explain why. Requests are normally free of charge. If there are reasonable doubts about your identity, we may ask for additional information necessary to confirm it.
You may lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the supervisory authority in the EU Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or the alleged infringement. You do not have to contact us first.
Automated decisions and external services
The website code contains no profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on visitors. Following an external link takes you to a separately operated service. Using email or third-party messaging services also involves the provider you choose; consult its privacy notice.
Changes to this notice
This notice must be updated when processing practices change. If we intend to use your data for a different purpose, we must inform you before that further processing and provide any additional information required by the GDPR.
