Overview
SafeTogether is an initiative that produced specifications and prototypes of digital tools against Covid-19. Its “Safe Together Shielding” system organises and manages a health cordon of immune volunteers so they can assist vulnerable people, using “verifiable credentials” and zero-knowledge proof algorithms to keep the volunteers’ privacy: their condition can be verified without exposing the type or result of their tests, and certificates can be revoked immediately if the virus mutates or new clinical evidence requires a different attestation.
Background
SafeTogether Shielding was realised by volunteers and students in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano under LinkedData.Center’s guidance, with Mopso technologies made available to the project.
