Overview

The administrative division of the State — municipalities, provinces, metropolitan cities and regions — changes many times in a single year. If your data is not aligned with it, your procedures run badly too: sales statistics, for example, can come out distorted.

aBeat aligns the municipalities in your address books with the official ISTAT lists so that a customer or supplier addressed to a place that no longer exists, or to the wrong province, can be identified and corrected.

How it works

aBeat is an agent equipped with artificial intelligence that, through specialised algorithms, connects your data to the ISTAT sources that describe the Italian territory. aBeat finds any inconsistencies and suggests how to correct the errors it discovers.

Example

Did you know that almost every customer/supplier list contains errors in its addresses? The wrong attribution of city and province is one of the most frequent ones.

Check for yourself: it is possible that even in your own records there is at least one contact registered in Monza in the province of Milano, even though Monza has been in the province of Monza e Brianza (MB) for many years.

In the last few months alone, more than thirty municipalities have merged and changed name, some have changed province and one has even changed region.

It is enough to send us a list of identifiers with the city and (optionally) the province as they appear in your archives. For example:

id comune provincia
xxx1 MONZA MI
xxx2 Sesto S.Giovanni Monza
xxx3 Milano
xxx4 Carbonia Cagliari
xxxy asdasd

aBeat analyses the data you provide, links it and verifies it. If we find an error, we suggest how to modify the datum so that it is consistent with the official lists. We return those suggestions in a table, keeping them linked to your own identifier so that you can update your archives automatically or make whatever decisions you consider appropriate:

id comune provincia/città met. tipo sigla
xxx1 Monza Monza e della Brianza provincia MB
xxx2 Sesto San Giovanni Milano città met. MI
xxx3 Milano Milano città met. MI
xxx4 Carbonia Sud Sardegna provincia SU
xxxy asdasd ? unknown ?

Using the service

Activating aBeat is very simple: build a table with just three columns:

  • your own identifier (for example the customer code);
  • the name of the municipality;
  • the name or the code of the province (optional).

Send us the table built this way (as a csv or excel file). The number of records you can send is unlimited. Shortly afterwards you will receive a table with our suggestions, ready to be integrated into your systems. We can agree on the fields and the structure of the results, modelling them on your specific needs.

Cost

The service is invoiced per number of rows processed. A fixed amount for setting up the service is added to the cost per row. That cost is charged only once for all the products you activate in the same order.

The cost per row depends on the quantity of information you ask us to process and usually settles at a few thousandths of a euro.

Technical notes

aBeat uses an instance of our SDaaS platform that recognises the meaning of the data you provide and links it to the most up-to-date and authoritative information available online (e-government and open data).

The resulting knowledge base is analysed by our algorithms, which find the inconsistencies and propose the corrections in the form of a table in csv format, whose structure can be chosen from the many available.

It is also possible to purchase the platform either “as a Service” or on premises, to connect your systems directly and obtain a continuous, nearly real-time update of your data.
